Foundation Cigar Company has built a reputation for making cigars with plenty of character while giving each blend its own identity. That's exactly what we wanted this sampler to show.

The Charter Oak Connecticut starts things on the smoother side with cream, cedar, toast, and light pepper. Charter Oak Maduro takes that everyday profile in a darker direction, while The Wise Man Maduro brings more depth with its San Andrés wrapper and Nicaraguan core. Then there's The Tabernacle, a full-bodied Connecticut Broadleaf cigar with plenty of dark cocoa, espresso, earth, and pepper.

Together, these four cigars cover a lot of ground. You get different wrappers, different strength levels, and four very different looks at what Foundation does well.

Tasting Notes

There's quite a bit of range in this sampler. Expect everything from cream, cedar, toasted bread, and light pepper on the smoother end to cocoa, espresso, earth, oak, baking spice, and natural sweetness as you move into the darker blends. It's a lineup that can take you from an easy morning Connecticut all the way to a full-bodied Broadleaf after dinner.
