Created as a tribute to the family legacy of Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, La Historia was the first blend launched under the E.P. Carrillo Series. The El Senador size, at 5 3/8 x 52, presents a near-perfect format for this dark, box-pressed blend to shine.

This medium-to-full-bodied cigar wraps an oily Mexican San Andrés wrapper around an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and aged Nicaraguan long-fillers. The result is a well-balanced profile that leans into rich cocoa, espresso, and dark fruit tones with moments of leather, spice, and an earthy core. With construction as elite as its flavor, it’s no surprise this blend has earned spots on multiple Cigar Aficionado Top 25 lists over the years.

Tasting Notes

Expect waves of semi-sweet chocolate, espresso bean, black cherry, and a touch of leather and toasted almond. A slow burn gives the flavors room to evolve, with subtle pepper lingering through the retrohale.
