The New World Dorado focuses on tobacco grown at AJ Fernandez's Dorado farm in Estelí, Nicaragua. The farm gets its name from the golden color of its soil, and most of the tobacco used in this blend comes directly from the property.

The blend uses a Nicaraguan Habano Sun Grown wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. The wrapper, binder, and much of the filler come from the Dorado farm, making this a cigar that's closely tied to one particular growing region.

At 6 x 54, the box-pressed Toro offers a little more ring gauge than your typical Toro. The profile lands around medium to full and leans into the richer side of Nicaraguan tobacco without being all about strength.

Tasting Notes

Expect plenty of earth and pepper alongside coffee, cedar, and nuttiness. Some sweetness and dried-fruit character help round out the darker flavors as the cigar develops.
