Cigar Intel
Like many Crowned Heads releases, Thunderkiss takes its name from music, drawing inspiration from White Zombie's iconic song "Thunderkiss '65." But unlike many of the company's more limited, collector-focused cigars, Thunderkiss was created with a different purpose. It was designed to be approachable, dependable, and affordable enough that smokers wouldn't hesitate to light one up whenever the opportunity presented itself.
Handcrafted at D'Hatuey Tabacos S.A. in Nicaragua under the direction of master blender Eradio Pichardo, Thunderkiss features an Ecuadorian Habano Maduro wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. The blend offers plenty of richness without becoming heavy, making it a great fit for smokers who enjoy boutique cigars with balance rather than overwhelming strength.
The 5 x 54 Robusto strikes an excellent balance between flavor concentration and smoking time. The wider ring gauge allows the blend to develop a smooth, rounded character while still showcasing the transitions that make boutique cigars so rewarding.
Offered in convenient bundles rather than traditional boxes, Thunderkiss was built to be enjoyed regularly instead of tucked away in the humidor. It's a cigar that encourages you to smoke one today instead of waiting for the "right" occasion.
Tasting Notes
Thunderkiss opens with cedar, cocoa, and cracked black pepper before richer notes of espresso, earth, oak, and baking spice begin to emerge. The profile stays balanced throughout the smoke, gradually building in richness while remaining smooth, approachable, and satisfying from first light to the final third.
