Buffalo Trace Cigars come to us from the iconic Sazerac Company, known for crafting some of the most recognized spirits in the world, including the legendary Buffalo Trace Bourbon. With over two centuries of whiskey-making heritage, Sazerac brings its signature richness and complexity to the world of cigars. Like Maker’s Mark and Pappy Van Winkle before it, Buffalo Trace now joins the lineup of premium bourbon-backed cigars.

Handcrafted in the Dominican Republic, the Buffalo Trace Churchill (7.0" x 49) is a masterclass in balance and flavor. It features a core of barrel-aged Dominican Piloto Cubano and Nicaraguan long-fillers, bound by a rich Brazilian Arapiraca binder, then finished with a dark, oily Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. The result is a medium to full-bodied experience with notes of cedar, leather, roasted cashews, and subtle hints of vanilla and baking spice.

Pair it with a pour of its namesake bourbon and settle in for a refined, rewarding smoke.

Tasting Notes

The Buffalo Trace Churchill opens with a fragrant hit of sweet cedar and dried fruit, hinting at the bourbon-barrel inspiration behind the blend. As it develops, notes of cocoa, toasted nuts, and leather round out the middle third, complemented by a soft cinnamon spice.

The finish is creamy, lingering with subtle bourbon barrel sweetness and a faint vanilla note, like a nod to a well-aged pour. Balanced and approachable, it’s a rewarding long-format smoke with character in every inch.
