Handcrafted in the Dominican Republic, the Roosevelt Maduro wears a Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper over a Dominican Olor binder and a balanced filler core that includes Piloto Cubano (Seco & Ligero) and Pennsylvania Broadleaf Viso. The blend marries San Andrés depth (cocoa, earth, espresso) with the Olor binder’s clean structure and a touch of broadleaf chew, delivering a consistent burn and medium body with layered flavor. Founders shifted production of the Roosevelt (along with Franklin, Douglass, and Signature Dual Wrap) to Tabacalera Las Lavas S.R.L. in the Dominican Republic, known for Casa Cuevas, further tightening construction and consistency.

Tasting Notes

Opens with dark chocolate, espresso, and damp earth, quickly joined by toasted walnut and sweet cedar. Midway, a ribbon of baking spice and black pepper adds lift while the core stays creamy-rich. The finish lingers with cocoa, leather, and a gentle molasses sweetness on a clean, medium body.
